These massive lightning shots were captured on a hot muggy summer's eve. The thunderstorm probably lasted around 5 hours, though it mostly missed us to the south by about 20-30 miles. The sky was pitch black aside from the occasional bolt of hotter than the surface of the sun ( 50,000 degrees F ) lightning.
No, I don't have incredible timing - these were frames taken from video. None of the colors were altered.
